The Unichip as with any mappable product is only as good as the mapper.
There are lots of places that do very bad mapping for the Unichip , hense a lot of bad press.
There are few bad mappers of the Link, Motec etc hense the good press.
IMO the Unichip is one of the best mods I ever have carried out in 10 yrs. Considering my limited requirements (310bhp/310lbft) it provides everything I need for £550 installed, mapped and 30 day money back gaurantee.
I personally would recommend Owen Developments for the mapping, purely on the results already proven and the shear experience they have with mapping them.
Alternatively Powerstation in Cheltenham also have a good reputation.
Point worth noting is that they are both Motec Dealers........gives you a good understanding of their caliber
