Fitted a k&n induction kit to my scooby, drove 2 hours to a see a friend and used twice as much fuel than with the panel filter anybody have a solution to this problem, because if not i will put the old one back on

Don't Know if this is what you want to hear but my RB5 has an HKS Induction kit and the fuel economy is pretty much unchanged, and it's not even been set up properly yet. Downside is the 170 notes to cough up if you want one.

Doesn't sound right to me, i've had to K&N 57i's over the years and my fuel economy didnt change...

Do I need to do anything else with this then? it does feel like it's running a bit rich now, but could that be coz' i changed the blow off valve and there's no more re-circ line? I read on a website that it neede set up.

just be very carful with induction kits chaps,i have just taken my hks off as it made my jap wrx run mega lean that the lamdba link would not even pick it up or get it mapped to run correctly.

ok just had a chance to carry out the nessecary reset, blasted down the autobahn at 110 for 20 mins, noticed the fuel went down by a 1/4 of a tank, this is very worrying, how long until i see any change?

for 15 mins,
what should be the next best thing to do, drive down the raod fully laden for 20 mins while ecu re-learns...?
never heard of doing it htis way b4.. to be honest...
