After having the Knocklink and Lambda link in front of the gearstick for the last 6 months, and realising they are hard to see there when you are on track wearing a helmet, i (stand back in amazement) have finally moved them to new locations.

Whilst doing this i also moved my defi controller out of the glovebox to the side of the gearstick, and i now also have the link tuning module sat infront of the gearstick, instead of in the glovebox

So far they seem pretty useful there.

That knocklink looks really neat in there. Like Vinesh says - what did you use to stick it there ? Also, can you see it when the steering wheel is centred ?

btw - what's that lump on top of the steering column ?!

Both the knocklink and Lambda link are stuck down with the sticky pad that was on the back of them on arrival. Never used it before, so it would still stick.

You can see it very clearly, definately a better position for both IMO. They are still in your eyesight, quite easily, without having to take your eyes off the road.

The thing on top of the steering column is the controller for the stereo, though i would try and see what it looks like, and whether i would use it or not. So far it is proving useful.

Brun, AFAIK, it is a scoobymania pod for the defis.

Cheers Alan

I have thought about putting it there, will see how i go with it like it is for now. I like the use of the air vents, thats what convinced me not to put it where yours is.

Cheers

You still have use of the remaining vent?

When not using the tuning module, you could always stick it in the glovebox out the way. This gives back the other vent and the cable can be slipped back in the slot above the glovebox.

Christian.

You asking me or Steven?

Christian, the Defis go round the back of the stereo and then along the transmission tunnel to the controller.

The knocklink runs along the back of the stereo and then up to the steering column, and comes out where the adjuster is for the steering wheel height. No cutting needed.

The lambdalink is pretty much the same, except the cable goes through a neatly made hole between the upper and lower dash where the fog light switch is.

Alan, i know what you mean about the vent, i will think about it

Cool

If you were prepared to take all your toys out of their boxes and do a wee bit of soldering (not soldiering ) then you could mount the LEDs from the Knocklink & LambdaLink in the Defi pod around the gauges, or inside the Dash Binnacle (LOTS of effort).
The Link tuning module could be mounted in the ashtray, keeping it out of sight, you'd just need to make a plastic plate to go over the top. The Control module is harder, but could be adapted to sit inside the transmission tunnel, with just the buttons exposed on the drivers side.

Just ideas.
