Cool

David was trying to help. I think I paid £120 inc p+p from Mark so guess he could undercut nicely......your choice.

Speak to Ron at APE in the US.

They are a lot cheaper to source from the states than in this country.

When I bought mine he said he would give me about $10 per pump off his list price if I bought 5 or more. I just couldn't be bothered organizing a group buy.

I bought a bare GSS342 pump with a wiring pigtail and it came to £76.88 with tracked delivery (5 days), I got his details from someone on the MLR forums.

Jonny... i'd seriously speak to the guys in the US that Andrew mentioned. I had a chat about this with Andrew at the last well lane... and at that price you can't argue. Certainly better than paying £125 or even £115. I could be interested but it would have to beat the US price or i'll order one direct from them.

tone- not too keen on dealing with companies in the states for a group buy.

its not worth it, if something gets lost or doesn't work there is no assurance you will get your money back or the goods in the first place for that matter!

Dave- i know you were trying to help mate

Jonny,

Those are the reasons why I didn't bother arranging a GB. Also HM C&E didn't check my 1 small parcel, I don't think you'd get away with that for 10 or 15 pumps.

Alright Guys,

Wondering if one of you lot which have already bought an uprated fuel pump could tell me how hard it is going to be to fit? Roughtly how long did it take you?

Thanks

A word of caution about fitting.

There are (at least) 2 types of pumps used on the classic shape impreza, 1 is a straight swap, the other requires a bit of butchering of the wiring in the tank, either way fitting is less than an hour.

Thanks for the advice on fitting. Gues you cant go wrong with those instructions!! As for the group buy, if the price works out cheaper than what you can get it else where in the UK count me in.

Thanks,
Ed

There is a slight difference in the location of the inlet and outlet pipes between the 341 and 342.

I would say the GSS342, this is what I use and the inlet and outlet line up as per the OEM pump, it is also the pump that Ron ships to most Subaru owners.
