Calling Butty and Obi

Right, you two seem to be the ones in the know so sorry, but I'm asking you outright.
I have a 97' registered S/Tb Jap import Turbo Forester.
Now I love this car but having read a lot of posts recently, it seems that it may be a wolf in sheeps clothing.
Has it got 240 BHP or not ???? How do I know - I mean it goes chuffin' brilliantly so can you tell me how I can find out FOR CERTAIN what the BHP is.
PLEASE ???
Ta.
P.S. know where I can get a good, cheap clutch to go on it? Mines on the way out.
Cheers again.

Someone after me?
I have treated mine like its a JDM Impreza.
The clutch lasted 45,000 miles and now has a 1998 Impreza clutch, the quick shift is a 1997 Impreza version, air filter ditto, mid section exhaust is Impreza, rear box is special as the Forester has a different hanger and wider bumper, wheels need to be ET 48 to fit, 4 pot brakes then fit with no trouble, downpipe is Impreza, side indicators are same as MY01 Impreza, rear roll bar can be swapped to STi (old) version) and the list goes on.....
I haven't found anyone to tune it much higher. I suppose all that is need is an (old) WRX Impreza ECU swap to get 280 PS, but don't take my word on it.
Depite its extra BHP, it will trail a UK Impreza slightly to about 80/90 mph but then gets left behind on flat roads or strips but across country bad roads the Impreza driver will get very sweaty hands trying to keep you away or even keep up with you.
The 97 JDM model is reputed to have 250 PS, the 98-00 has the 240 PS.
I haven't put mine on a rolling road yet but hope so fairly soon.
I get 11.7 PSI out and it has done a 15 sec 1/4 so I guess that the power is about the 240 PS mark.
I have no idea what the (old) STi Forester puts out - I have seen an STi ECU for saleonthe STi site and presume that it is about 260/270 PS, possibly even matching the (old) WRX 280 PS?
There is a good source of info on:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/
Especially on the forthcoming (US) 2.5 litre turbo and STi versions

Thanks.
