I read something about Fuel Surge, what is it.
"Could be dangerous on trackdays to run with less then a fourth of your fuel", told my dealer.
Now I saw a pic of a sort of tank in the boot, to prevent fuel surge, anybody some info about this ???

Fuel Surge = going round a corner too hard, the petrol runs to one side of the tank, and so the fuel pipe picks up air. Therefore, no fuel to inject. Generally, just gives a couple of seconds of no power. However, it could conceivably cause a lean mixture leading to det and subsequent damage.

Tank in the boot would be a "swirl pot". Effectively a small (say 0.5 or 1l) header tank which is normally full of fuel that is spinning. As this is normally completely/virtually full, it gets round the problem.

The problem is not unique to scoobies -common on many fast cars.

A certain scottish ex-citreon owner has been the target of a long running pi55-take about his experiences with this . . .

Re: the thread: Ways to prevent fuel surge - don't push it round right handers with less that 1/4 a tank. Or. Get a swirl pot
