Question

I have heard so much about these and the benefits to be had in Scoobs. But what exactly are they?

There is no such think as an EcuTek, there is however software designed and developed by EcuTek which allows people like myself, John etc to access the factory ecu programming and alter it, have a look at www.ecutek.com for more info.

Wink

John Banks or Bob Rawle are the guys 2 ask this
My understanding of it, is it`s a "step time" *** remap of the original ecu ***.
Unlike the replacement mappable ecu`s by gems, link, pectel which are all "real time" (changes happen as you change the numbers, without the need to stop).
However I believe some reasonable gains can be had with the system, if the non "real time" aspect doesn`t bother you. It is only available for certain YM of scoobs though.

Also checkout http://www.ecutek.com
