Couple of red lights on my knocklink why?
#1
I have a P1 and always run it on Optimax & 100ml of NF Race Formula per tank of fuel. At I recent track day I noticed the knocklink hit red twice during the day. This was under heavy acceleration just after changing gear. Could the red lights be attributed to engine/road noise or is it something more sinister? On day to day road use I have never seen amber or red before. One thing to note in the afternoon I topped up with 20ltrs of Optimax with Millers octane booster in and the knocklink was much more active than in the moring session when I was purely on Optimax & NF Race Formula. The car is standard expect for a Prodrive backbox.

Check the MAF sensor is OK, check the boost is not spiking too high on track, other than that sounds like you probably had a bit of transitional det, and should use the octane booster that made the car run best - ie the NF, and use a bit more on trackdays. Half a bottle of NF race to a tank of fuel should be about right.
