FMIC on MY00 , ?loose foglights
#3
Very surprised to hear you say that. Was told at revolution that the front fogs would have to be removed, and blank panels(like the import WRX ones) would have to replace them in order to allow the pipework form the sides of the FMIC to pass along the inside of the front bumper and up into the wings, before sweeping back to the engine. Could it be because of the type of intercooler that they are trying to fit? It is one of the new Blitz FMIC, with the pipes exiting either side at the bottom (i think!).

Sounds like your intercooler has side entry and exit pipes roughly in the centre of the intercooler core?
P20SPD and myself have entry and exit pipes at the bottom of the intercooler. Mines a Hyperflow though.

I have an APS FMIC on a MY99 UK car, and I kept my foglights and WRX covers.
A friend had a MY97 UK car and retained his Scoobysport driving lamps with his APS FMIC.
Hope this helps

Guys i guess your right, it looks like the new Blitz FMIC doesn't keep the front lights - the entry / exit pipes aren't right at the bottom. Ah well, just gotta decide wheather to go ahead and loose the lights now. Only problem - still not totally worked out the pipe fitting problem. .... Hopefully soon.
