Unless you are going everywhere at 2000 rpm then dont use normal unleaded....& even then I would be worried !
Sti5's use the Phase 2 Boxer engine which requires good grade of fuel.
Bear in mind that these engines are tuned to run on Japanese 100 RON fuel.
I personally run Optimax plus Millers.

Try Optimax(98+ Ron) & NF(upto 6Ron increase). Tried Optimax & Millers and still had knock at 6000rpm. When running on Optimax and Nf i have never experienced any knock correction whatsoever.
Whatever you do DO NOT RUN ON 95RON ITS LETAL TO YOUR PISTONS.
Cheers

Ricky,
I wouldnt use normal u/l in my sti-v, its asking for trouble if you do have to use it just put a tenner in and run off boost till you can put real fuel in there, use a min of super u/l and nf, I however use Optimax and NF as the combined octane rating is the highest....

Cheers Gez. I have been using Silkolene Pro Boost but have heard from several people now that the NF stuff is better. I just went on the website. Is it true you get 6 tankfuls from 1 bottle?
