Drove to work today & the car felt flat, it was quick but there was no kick, no boost no nothing, like driving a 2.0I to a wrx turbo.

there is no smoke from the exhaust, no funny noises just no boost, the hks dump valve is still whisteling away but no kick in the pants boost.

It was fine yesterday today nothing.
its a 1993 wrx with 75000 klms on the clock.

what should I start checking ?

cheers

Have you got a boost gauge, to see if the boost has dropped off....???

Barge, check the Y pipe going from the turbo to the inter-cooler. This is known to split. If not a pipe might have come off of rotted.

I am having the same problem m8 my boost is intermitent though.
My solution is to get a dawes device as you can set the boost manually with this taking away control from the ECU and not using the crappy boost solenoid at all !
and for £30 who can complain !

no boost and all at once sounds like a leak to me unless scoobies have a very effective boost control system.

ive driven pleant of cars with knackered turbos and theyv estill rovided some boost unless theyve been realy blow in which case im sure you'd notice some signs
