Disconnecting battery?

Was going to put system in car and am also about to wire in turbo timer and need battery disconnected for both.Does this spike either the alarm or the ecu like on some other cars ive had.Has anyone had probs or no effects.

Can't comment on the alarm, but removing the power will reset the ECU on older models which is a good thing.
Don't be scared to do this, do a search on ECU resets to see what I mean.
