gearbox removal
#2
Hi you two,I'm presuming you have taken off the starter motor?.
You have probably over looked the clutch release mechanism arm, which if you dont know,(if you havent done one before)is situated just below where the starter motor goes,if you look from the nearside wing at where the starter motor used to be there is a large black round shaft with a hexagonal hole in the centre, running across the gear box, unscrew that with the correct size allen key then insert a m8 screw into the small hole that is in the center of the large hexagonal hole, and pull the shaft completely out, then hopefully the box (with a bit of wiggling )should come adrift.
Hope this helps,if you need any more help just e-mail me
Best of Luck
Simon

12mm allen key, and insert a M6 bolt to remove the pivot. Then lift the relaese fork away from the release bearing and allow gravity to help with the removal.

Just to add that it took nearly three hours to get my gearbox seperated from the engine with everything removed!!!!
There are 2 locating studs that can make it almost impossible to remove the gearbox from the engine..
After levering and hitting it finally seperated!!!
