if i unplug my standard ecu and plug the PPP ecu in is this all i need to do?

will the ecu change mapping, fueling etc by itself or will i have to take it somewhere to get set up?

Unplug the std ECU, plug in the new ECU, and then drive around and show the car all 5 gears IIRC.

Cool

Exactly as IanW says

SUL for full power benefits, but NUL is OK. Optimax should be OK as its essentially SUL but with a slightly raised octane count & other additives.

You'll notice most difference if you do all the parts of the PPP - i/cooler housing, de-cat centre & BB as well as the ECU.

Enjoy

yes thanx guys.

i havent got one yet but am looking for a PPP ecu for sale 2nd hand.

i have a prodrive rear box fitted to standard d/p and c/s.

I plan to change the d/p and c/s but just dont know wot to go for.

has anyone fitted the TSL d/p and c/s to a prodrive rear box? did u notice any difference, if so wot?

I was gonna go for the s/sport option but have been told that their pipes do not produce enuff back pressure and therefore u loose power/drivablility, not gain any?

i hear so much varied opinions that i cant make my mind up.
My wife wants a nice LOUD zorst

any suggestions would b most gr8ful

Ditch the PPP idea and go for an TEK ECU upgrade

I do tend to agree with Mega on that one I have a TEK 2.5 and they are great. I had no worries taking my PPP ECU off, and leaving it inside the house collecting dust The TEK 2.5 (from John Banks) makes the engine run sooo smooth mate

Babber I know what you're talking about
Even though I have a few "teeving" troubles, nothing that bit more fiddling can't sort

MD
Yours is a bit more than a PPP and you know it

IIRC the PPP kit cost about £2000, but that included the ECU, Intercooler hosing, centre section and back box.

You may be able to pick just the ECU up in the for sale section for about £500 to £600.

For that money i would go TEK2 though, loads of fun

Well, maybe in the near future I will sell my PPP ECU (MY99/00)
and go for a VF23-remap set!

I now run a PPP ECU and pipes along with a full Scoobysport....
And this is as close as you can get with a TD04 (1,2 bar)

So if I want more, I have to look at a VF23............

Sorry, but its not

PPP, full s'sport, induction kit, fmic, and HKS evc running 1.3bar on a TD04L seems to work if you dont hold full boost for long periods...I use the torque to drive fast and the temps stay fine...I only get 'high' temps when 'ragging' it

Does that help ?

Turb0s,

I might sell my PPP ECU my99/00...........
It's a LHD one, but if you change the underside of the case it will fit since the fittings are mirror image, but the cicuit boards can be swapped, just use basic antistatic precausions...........(ask John Banks)

e-mail me if you're interested........
