Hole in my back box
#1
There is a fist sized hole in my Jap STI backbox, will this effect performance, do any damage etc. I'm not sure whether i should replace this as it gives the exhaust a hearty growl.
Thanks in advance.

Bought a brand new Magnex backbox, which i found to have two of the afor mentioned holes.
I believe one is visible just under the bumper, and the other end attaches to an equally sized hole on the mid section.

tomsnuts -
I've recently noticed a hole in my back box on my MY94 STI - although after 139,000KMS I couldn't really complain ! I couldn't decide between
Blitz Nur Spec system ( Pro : Nice and noisy Con : Maybe too NOISY ! )
HKS exhaust systems ( Pro : A bit calmer then Blitz, still nice and throaty Con : Not fully stainless steel, bit pricey ! )
Mongoose system ( Pro : Downpipe included Con : Still slightly more than I wanted to spend ! ).
In the end, I bought a P1 back box, which should be an identical replacement for my STI backbox.
