Did you get a check engine light...???

You can check any stored codes by joining the black connectors that are tucked up under the steering column...

It could be a failed MAF.... have you fitted an after market air filter by any chance..??

Can you hear the fuel pump engage when the ignition is turned on...

What year is your car....

If it is newer than 1997 then it could be the MAF, as they have a problem with the oil used on the air filters...

If you join the connectors under the steering column and turn the ignition on you will get a code... and this could tell you where the problem is...

You have to have a route around under the steering column, and when you join the two black plastic connectors together the check engine light on the dash will flash in a certain way and you can read off where the engine code came from...

It could also be a problem with the oxygen sensor..

Did you make sure the wire connector to the MAF is on correctly..??

I think it is the interval between each flash..

say 3 short flashes and 2 long ones will be 32, something like that...
