Disconnecting battery on my02?

Apart from dropping the thing on my foot 
, is there anything likely to screw up (electrically speaking) if I take off the battery as part of the things to disable the car for a few days? I'm thinking of things like the ecu resetting itself or not playing ball when reconnecting, std radio losing stations / needing code (if it uses one) etc?
Any suggestions welcome

PS I know i could remove the ecu but don't want to get into tricks like that initially for fear of nobbling terminals etc

Tony, thanks for that - I've managed to find other ways of making it undriveable like taking off wheels etc.
found out that new shapes have battery backup for ecu so that wouldn't be a problem and I suspected radio wasn't coded due to removable bit.
