Default Hard starting

Bugeye STI has started playing up usually fires straight away from cold but sometimes when warm it would crank for ages before it would fire , when I felt it doing this if I press the pedal it seems to help it fire ? I always allow the pump to prime , it's getting worse taking longer and happing more often but no fault codes , car has had new Bosch battery , injectors were refurbished , could they maybe be leaking when the engine is warm into the cylinder does that happen ? Cheers

Wouldn't a diagnostic tool help you find that anger out? Did the fault start after the injectors were fitted?

Car had been off the road for years ,only thing that gave me problems was the idle control valve , car wouldn't idle tryed cleaning it no change had to buff the screws off the end to totally take it apart to clean as the screws were chewed then it ran fine tho has since started this difficult long crank thing , only able to read codes which I don't have any to read

Sounds like fuel pump, mate had a similar issue on a non subaru. When the pump heated up from use etc it would start to struggle. It was stranded and threw 5 litres of fuel that was cold and the pump started right back up.

Was a brand new pump that was fitted not long ago then mapped tho suppose doesn't mean there's not a fault

Had a brand new Bosch battery then sat another couple of years tho that battery ended up not holding a charge got it tested and said there was dead cells so now has a new Bosch battery but do feel the battery drains quite quick it's always on a trickle charger these days , does seam to turn over at a normal speed tho a do hear a noise after it starts like the starter ain't pulling away quick enough , weird sometimes it's fires up straight away other times it cranks for ages
