Default BEST TURBO!!!

Hi all, looking for best turbo for a 2.35 In rotated posistion.

Currently been looking at gtx3076r gen 2 or gtx3582r gen2 .

But friend has said the new g30 series is a good turbo

Haven't seen many figures on these if people could help regarding which would be best.

Engine is 2.35 cdb , mahle pistons arrow rods nitrate crank acl race bearings , 14mm headstuds quad avcs heads ported with 278/274cams over sized valves , double valve springs. Rotated inlet.
Parralelle rails 1050cc injectors

I'm wanting a good 550/600 vpower only turbo
current turbo is mdx321t.

Any graphs or know figures on above turbos would be great

Thanks

I found the the gtx3582r to be very laggy and the gtx3076r was much more responsive but didn't make the numbers I wanted. 452hp at 1.8bar on standard JDM single avcs heads, 3582 cracked 500 on the same map on the 1st pull but had to abort because the airflow was blowing the spark out believe it or not. Mine was still a 2 litre though so yours will make the power easier with more displacement.
both let oil past the seals even with the correct restrictor I suspect because of the downward angle which it sits in the rotated position.
also I wouldn't recommend using 2618 alloy pistons as they require more clearance and your engine will drink oil like a Glaswegian **** head drinks buckfast.

If I was doing it again I'd look at the Borg Warner efr series.

Hi cheers pal for your Input , the pistons will be either mahle or omega which ever suits the bore best unfortunately until the machine process is done I won't know the outcome of which piston is needed.

Have spoken to a few turbo distributors and the overall opinion is to try the new g30-770 or the g30 900.

but trying to find anyone that has graphs for these turbos is like rocking horse s###

No probs mate, there's very few big power builds in the UK so not much advice from 1st hand experience. The Americans are lightyears ahead so maybe worth asking about those turbos on nasioc.

Good luck with it, they are a different animal with a rotated setup you'll Iove it.

Well I have been looking specifically for graphs on the new g series turbos which do only seem to be American or uae countries,

I know and have seen various gt35 graphs on 2.35 and 2.1 even gt40

I'm after the new series of turbos with graphs to prove the power .... as talking about it is all good but physically seeing a graph is far more informative for me

why on earth would I be licking anyones **** when iv got 3 of my own subarus ,,including a genuine WRC build a nice RA and a lovely type R and like I said before these sorts of set ups are old news now so why you think id lick anyones **** over a forged engine and rotated kit ill never know lol , but arnt you on here licking the OP's **** telling him his car will be a animal lol ,, all I was saying is there are loads and loads of poeple in the uk running around 600+bhp with rotated kits ,I can tell you a few on here that havnt posted on this thread so what does that mean ???,,, do you think RCM just sell them abroad lol ,, why dont you ring up RCM and ask how many they have sold to uk customers over the last 20 years lol ,, plus all the other companies making there own rotated kits ,, so engine tuner doesnt do loads and loads of big power builds each year , again just ring and ask as they post on Facebook about them every week lol ,, but because they are not on here posting graphs then they dont exist lol

Jesus, some people like sound of there own voice , I have spoke to rcm I have spoke to engine tuner and yes I have seen the g35 graphs but engine tuner themselves haven't done a g30 770 as of yet on a 2.35 they have on a 2jz but not a 2.35

I was only asking for information or graphs

I wasn't asking who friends has the biggest build or golden pistons

Just asking for sound advice

Bader is a fan of the 3576, claims it spools like a 30 with more top end, maybe one to consider.

Hard too say, ive got 50/50 water/meth that kicks in at just over 4k which makes it a whole different animal, it comes in on air inlet temps or 45%throttle.
I had the mdx321v before and sure its a smaller turbo, but the gtx3582 is bigger but i wouldnt consider it laggy in comparison , sure you have to work a bit harder. But hey when your driving fast your always in the power band👍
