Absolutely, thats why I wanted to gauge opinion from people who use him rather than writing him off

I've used Dan in the past; he went above and beyond, for a very good price.

I follow him on Facebook too, I think he's just very busy and vents via those type of posts - he's very calm and friendly in person but I can see why you'd be initially reluctant if you read those posts before meeting him.

I do most of my own work these days, but if there was anything above my skill level I'd wouldn't hesitate to book it in with Dan, even now I live 2.5 hours away

Haha, I love some of the comments 🤣
I have no anger issues but tend to say it how it is as there's no point in rubbing everything in glitter. The reason for my Facebook posts is just to add some humour and be straight to the point with people, I'm only human after all.

I've never met a person that works on our with cars that doesn't have anger issues (myself included). Anyone that has sheared a bolt and laughed instead of setting fire to the car is either gandhi or a psycho.

Complete lies, bolts never sheer or round off on scoobs, particularly anything sub frame or body work related

no problem at all, at the moment I'm pretty rammed with work. December is usually a bit quieter, but this year seems to have been a rather hectic blur.

I’ve been a customer of Dan for over 10 years. Probably caused some of those angry posts .
I’ve used a few local specialists during my 12+ years of Subaru ownership (on my third), and the reason I’m still a customer of Dan’s is you get honest service and attention to detail that’s sadly lacking in far too many other places I’ve been.
Banter and abuse are optional, but can’t recommend him enough - there’s a reason he’s busy

Update:- Dan had the car from Thursday to replace the bushes, top mounts and do alignment and I would highly recommend him, his attention to detail with the job was fantastic, organised the alignment for me, just really nice bloke who knows his Subaru's.

Will definitely be using him again.
