BC Adjustable cam pulley issue
Alright group,
Fairly new to scoobynet and by the looks of it theres some very good advice and builds in here, so hopefully some1 will be able to help me here.
I am in the middle of a 2.1 build at the moment and have a set of BC adjustable cam pulleys fitted to the engine, and while setting up the timing and lookin at all 8 pulleys I have, (4 standard and 4 BC) I noticed that the the left hand inlet pulley has only 2 trigger points on the rear of it for the cam sensor pick up, yet my standard pulley has 7.
Am I right in sayin that I am going to have to modify the rear of the BC pulley to accommodate 7 pick ups so the vehicle will run correctly, or even run at all, as does this circuit not control ur spark?
I have searched the net and nobody, not even BC themselves, seems to do a rear pick up ring for this one pulley, which is strange as it can be screwed off?
Has anybody else come across this issue using BC adjustable cam pulleys at all?
Any info would be much appreciated
Iv attached pics to show the issue
Kind regards Steve

For the engine I'm using a version 1-2 cdb and standard but overhauled version 5 sti type R heads.
Im not sure what the pulleys were originally on or for, as I purchased them from a friend for a good price.
although this friend had a lot of stuff he was selling, it could of been anything, but definitely subaru.
Strange how BC don't supply a different pick up ring for the rear when it screws off, iv asked and they state that they have never made a different rear pick up ring for these pulleys... there all the same supposidly, goin back to 98 models non AVCS
wanted to know if there has been any1 else out there with similar issue with this, if there is an easy solution, or if I am goin to have to modify the rear of the BC cam for th pick up.

I think you and I could help each other.
I have a set of RCM Adjustable Cam Pulley's from my V6 STI heads (heavily breathed on!) but I am going to put the heads into a 2005 Forester (Newage EJ205 engine) with a built 2.0 STi engine so the Cam pickups on the Forester are Newage WRX and as such, my RCM pulleys will not work as I need Newage pulleys
Might be interested in a deal against your Newage BC ones....... if not then it will be time to sell on these pulleys of mine.
let me know via PM
