Default Fitting a ramair filter?

Hi guys I saw a thread after a Google search.. can't remember where but I found this pic of a ramair fitted. It's something I would really like to do. I've heard horror stories and all sorts but I've run them on other cars with no hassles.. good filters imo plus a lovely sound from them

Anyway I'm just wondering where I can get the necessary bits..

What size ramair filter and neck?

Where can I find that AFM pipe?

Also what size silicon joiner is that?

Anyone got any info?

I'm in the midst of having engine sorted so it's worth putting all this on pre remap

Don't K&N do an induction kit that separates the cone from the engine.

On your other cars, did this filter sit right by the turbo? I can't see the point in sucking hot air into it. And you've read the stories?

Yeah but not read many of those stories... more like I've read one person who knows a person who said a friend's ramair filter caved in. Someone needs to have been neglecting that filter for it to split like that.
On other cars filter is away from turbo.

could always fit a heat shield I guess.. or it may be possible to mount filter further down into bumper?

So how come so many people fit an induction filter if it just sucks hot air in? It seems to be a common mod for Subaru impreza owners? I'm still on the oem airbox with a basic filter at min.

usually it all can be purchased on ebay individually handy enough

youre looking 70mm / 2.75inch Inner Diameter for each item for fitting onto existing inlet pipe

use can use the newer pro-ram filters if you dont fancy foam

ive no idea what will fit newage sorry - its all a bit of trial & error if you are wanting to buy universal items rather than a kit
