Default Whining Nose from Engine

Heard a whining noise coming from the engine on idle..had started it after being parked up for some days..it went away when I turned the wheel little..

Also was not there once the car was warm...and not there everytime I start it

Any ideas on this?

Sounds like could be powe steering related if turnign the wheel fixes it, check the power steering fluid level as a starter

The o ring is cheap and simple to replace if you've never done it.
