Won't rev over 4k and no boost.
I have just fitted a replacement engine to my 04 wrx. Everything is fitted. Vacuum lines all on where they should be.
The car was run up to temp and gets warm cools down at. But when you rev it it get a up to 4k ish pretty quickly then hits like a rev limiter and has no more.
The boost gauge shows it only gets just above zero. So only a couple of psi boost. It's fine in vacuum bit jis t won t boost and get over 4k or so.
I'm losing the will to live with this car so any help would be grand...
I've seen lots of other similar threads but nothing seemed to give me an answer.

Stationary. I have it a rev before I was going to take it for the first test drive and didn't think it was right enough to drive.
The only difference from the old to the new is the new engine has the sensor still wired in the up pipe to the turbo. The old engine had this not in use as the wire was off and not plugged in. It ran fine with the old engine apart from when it started to over heat.

No management lights at all. Car ticks over great and revs freely to start just hits the wall at 4k ish.
Il unplug the sensor tomorrow.
Is it possible for the turbo on this new engine to be shot? The shaft had a minimal amount of play in it but on the exhaust side it spun freely? Not sure the symptoms would be these for a duff turbo?

Well I swapped the turbo and the up pipe for the items off the original engine. Absolutely no difference.
Still won t go over 4k and still won't boost. Just pops and fast like the rev limiter and smells a bit rich.

What's the best software to plug these in to for real time data? I've spent most of my time with peugeot planet so not hugely clued up in the subaru world.

I have a video here showing what's going on with my car. Think it should embed to view it on YouTube...
Turbo is good. Engine runs fine up to that rev point. New cambelt and the timing was spot on.
No engine management light. Freessm and other readers show no codes or stored codes.
Anyone have any idea whatsoever?? 😭😭😭
Just can't work this one out...
