Anyone on here that knows the weight of the JDM V4/V5/V6 GC8 STI front seats?
I was thinking of swapping them into a GDB since I prefer the snug fit and was wondering whether there may actually be some weight to save aswell since they seem quite a bit smaller than GD seats.

GC8 seats will sit you lower in the car once installed in a New-age.........

 

If you want snug, i'm sure the Bug STI ones were about the tightest i've sat in.

In the meantime I found out, that regular GC8 WRX or STI sedan seats weigh 17kg each.
I'm assuming Type R seats are a bit heavier since they're a fold seat.


I know that. But isn't the GC8 seat also height adjustable?


Yeah you're right, the Bug was the last one to have tight seats.


I currently have the black blobeye seats in my spec-C. Not really that supportive on the sides (that being said I'm on the slim side).
Drivers seat weighs 20kg, passenger 17,4 kg.
