Replace driveshaft
How hard is it to replace a drive shaft front passenger on a 03 sti non dccd garage can’t do it for another 2 weeks so looking at doing it myself any help would be greatly appreciate.
the pins are a bit annnoying to get out make sure you have the right size punch. change your CV boots and grease your joints while youre at it (unless theyre in good/great condition)
I did it first time a couple of years ago, I'm poor mechanically but obvious to others would be ease off the large shaft end nut at the hub before lifting the car, I used plenty freeing agent and still took 4 foot pipe for leverage, I think it worked better shaft coming off gearbox end first and last when replacing. Just highlighting possible reasons why it took me half a day.

Yes its an easy job, but it can take many hours and a new driveshaft maybe required.
My old classic driveshaft hadnt been off the car in some 20 yrs, the 1 side came away no problem, out of the hub splines no issues, the other side, seized solid within the hub splines, mullered the thing getting it out the hub, new driveshaft bought as a result.
like everything, if it goes to plan as it should, nio problems, if it doesnt, expect the worst
