Loose Wires?
Afternoon people
This is my first post since joining ScoobyNet recently! I was hoping my first post would be a bit more positive, but such is life! This is my first Subaru and the first car I said I would try and do a majority of the work myself, if possible. I'm on a steep learning curve, so take it easy on me please lol.
So recently, my radiator decided to give up, and I got a new one with top and bottom hoses as well. As I got under the car to fit the bottom hose I noticed 2 wires dangling from, what I'm guessing is, the oil filter? I'm not sure where they connect to! Temp sensor maybe? The car seems to be running fine. Can someone shed some light on this, please?
My car is an 04 WRX wagon, if that helps
Cheers
Rik

Your car must have had some gauges fitted in the past.
The bit that your oil filter is screwed to is an aftermarket sandwich plate those wires are the sender for either oil pressure or oil temp.
take the oil filter off and just remove the sandwich plate if not needed.
Obviously re fit the oil filter tho
