Loose wires under stearing colum..?

Just been looking at some wires under the stearing colum and noticed a green plug and socket and a black plug and socket hanging down but not conected, they look like they plug together.

Any idea what they are and should they be connected together....?

They are the connectors you use when re-setting the ecu.
Do not connect unless you plan to do the above

The plugs and sockets are used to trigger the various diagnostic modes.
