Default What engine oil is best for a ej20.

As above really,

if the logbook comes back in time I'll be taking my spec c for a good run up to the ten of the best car show in york

it's been sitting in my garage for a year so is going to need a oil and filter change at the very least before I'd be happy about going that far,

I rang Opie oils earlier and they was supposed to be getting back to me but never did, I hadn't got much time left so I'd like to place an order first thing tomorrow so I get it in time for the weekend,

the car is a Hawkeye spec c and is slightly modified and mapped to around 380bhp.

any recommendations please lads?

Can of worms. What do you use the car for? Daily driver with fast road, track car etc...

I have a hawk spec C with similar power levels and run 15w50 as recommended by Roger Clarke. Car is a daily driver but allowed to warm up before every drive. If you tend to hop in and go frequently I would perhaps run a thinner oil Like a 10w50

The car is my second car that only gets used every now and then as a fast road car,

I use it quite often when the weather is nice and then gets stored away for the winter,

I always warm it up before I drive it and always warm it down before I switch it off.

I've managed to speak to the technician at Opie oils today and he advised me to buy Miller's nanodrive cfs 5w/40 ND + full synthetic with a Muller f0205 oil filter which I went ahead and purchased,

anyone used this stuff before?
