Hello peeps
I am continuously having issues with my ej25 and would like to put a ej20 in my car, the issue is that my ecu wants to receive a signal from a 3 wire cam sensor whilst the ej20 heads use a 2 wire sensor one is hall effect the other VR. Is there any way to get this to work?
Options:
-ej22 2.35 with ej25 heads so no mods needed
-ej20 with ej25 heads, compression will be reduced so need to work on gasket, squish but the heads would have a mushroom like shape, heating issues?
-ej20 with ej20 heads fixed cams, can I disable in ecu the avcs and use fixed cams without using the cam sensor?
I dont want another ej25!
I have heard that some spec c heads, maybe hawk eye, already have the 3 wire speed sensor opposed to the 2 wire found in earlier models, does anybody here have spec c heads ? how many wires do the cam sensors have?
of course I can change ecu and I could use ej20 with ej20 heads but want to keep my ecu limited budget
