It's not really possible - If you do manage to remove the scratches with a machine polisher, then you will probably see the dip in the glass where you've been polishing, especially when looking at the reflection from the glass.

Been there, tried that

me to, tried jewelers rouge but did not shift it, only smoothed it slightly. it's the bane of classic scoob ownership the little felt pad on the door guide gets full of crap did replace pad but damage was done. hope somebody has some compound/cleaner they could suggest otherwise it's a new drivers side window.

Indeed. I accept them as adding "character" (like an Impreza needs any more character!)

You can clean the window felts religiously but the scratches seem to be inevitable.

or disconnect the elecy window that'll cure it. if some one could cure it, they would be onto a fortune as i have seen so many classic scoobs with the dredded scratch on drivers side window.

Me too on my 53 plate Blobeye.

Is it worth just claiming it on insurance and paying the excess of £75 or will it just do it again?
