Default 1995 Classic TMIC upgrade

Hi guys

I currently have a 1995 JDM Impreza turbo and am looking to upgrade the TMIC.

I have been informed me that I need a one from a 1999-2000.

Is this correct and if so has anyone got one for sale

It's a big job fitting a later style intercooler to an early classic. In my opinion it's not worth the effort.

Either stick with what you have and maybe upgrade the hoses on it or go with a front mount option.

you could fit an ARC cooler which is a direct replacement for what you have but they never come up for sale.

No difference between the early WRX and STI coolers other than colour. The STI comes with better pipework that offers better flow over the plastic WRX variant.

I wouldnt say its a hard job at all fitting a bigger TMIC to the 95 wrx

I rathered fit the bigger TMIC than front mount as that was too much cutting away and didnt fancy the issues some get whilst fitting them

In the end i fitted a TMIC from a 2004

Thanks for all of your feedback.

I dont want to fit a FMIC as the vehicle is a rallycar and for obvious reasons a TMIC suits me.

Other option is zero sports bonnet undertray might help improve air flow. There rare aswell though. I think fitting one of a newer Impreza would be a big job. I tried it on my v4 fitting s newage one. Gave up and went for an STI one.
