You can fit a std 93/95 slanty intercooler onto your car with the correct pipework, but these are the worst of all the subaru tmic for keeping intake temps down. You can fit a facelift tmic which are slightly bigger but you may have to trim the body of your throttle body to enable it to clear the bulk head.I am not to sure if you can fit a V7 sti unit as i think there may not be enough clearence, but do a search using the search barand there should be a few threads detailling how to do this.

In that case go for a V4 sti unit, you will have to trim a few cm's off your throttle body and rework your mounts , but it will fit . A V5 has the recirc valve bolted to it so it will get in the way of your idle air control valve.
