APS TMIC Vs STIV8 TMIC for classic?
As heading really, looking at a APS TMIC or an STI V8 TMIC to replace standard MY00 TMIC.
The APS one I'm after is for a V4 STI although I'm sure it will fit MY00. However with many classic owners not wanting to go FMIC just yet which is the best option. V8 IC doesn't look that hard to fit just wondered which would be of most benefit.
Further mods planned is for a VF28/30 turbo, headers, fueling etc etc. I want to stay with smaller quick spooling turbos rather than going the TD05/FMIC route.
thanks

by all accounts the APS top mounts are not as good as the V8 TMIC, but im pretty certain (even with it being for a diff version) that it will be easier to fit than a V8 item. there is more work than it looks initially in putting one of these on.

Agree. Fitting a V8 is not a bolt-on task.
The APS is as I had one once, BUT, I think the V8 works better (no proof though)
Unless you love DIY fit/weld/fiddle go for the APS (IMHO)
Graham.

I think it is not as that hard to fit an STI8 IC. I just needed a bit long 90 degree elbow, used stock brackets, and cutting the IC. I actually didn't cut/weld the IC by myself but the rest is fine. You dont need to hammer the top part of the bodywork that IC sits.
