Engine fault code reader
Hi all
Just wondering what engine fault code readers people recommend. Not after garage standard but just a simple reader to at least narrow down the search.
Thanks

Will be ODB2 then.
I purchased a very expensive ODB2 reader years back which works great. However, I also recently purchased a very cheap £4.24 ebay ELM327 Bluetooth fault code reader from FleaBay not expecting it to work. I downloaded a free fault code reader app from android and it all works a treat. Wish I'd have saved my £100 originally.

I bought maxiscan ms309 few days ago for £10.59 unfortunately it didn't work, it connects with the car but didn't read the code which was stored in ECU, I also checked it on another car also with no luck. I'm not sure if this was genuine reader or it just didn't work. In the end I've downloaded ecuexplorer for free and I'm using tactrix kkl vag com cable which works great with that software
