Default power steering whine ? 98 wrx sti ver4

When I at a stand still and give the engine a Rev there is a whine.. There is the same whine when I turn at low speeds also.

Is this just simply the power steering belt needing to be replaced, she's going in v.soon to have cambelt changed so thinking I should just get all other belts changed at same time ?

Is this a problem or is it just a worn belt?

Could it be the power steering pump on its way out?

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks

I hadn't thought of this, thank you.

Not gonna lie I don't know much about this side of things.

Is it something I can simply top up myself? I will check if it's low later on today.

Thanks again

So I've checked it and there is 2 little rectangles on the dip stick one for cold one for hot and it's half way up the one for cold.

Obviously I measured this cold.
It seems like to top this up to the top of the cold line it would take about 10ml.

Am I ok where it is?

Thanks

from memory I think its between the reservoir that holds the fluid and the pump itself.
