Classic power upgrade questions
Advice for a slowly learning newbie please!
I have a MY2000 classic wagon - with Panel Filter, Cobra sports downpipe with sports cat,Tornado rear de-cat with silencer,Prodrive Backbox, walbro pump, 440 injectors and ECUTEK remap running at 1.25 bar (This was how I bought it). Its putting out 260
(I already have brake/suspension upgrades in hand)
So I have ordered a newage WRX TMIC (Need to get an upgrade Y Pipe and OE Recirc valve).
I already have a set of ported OE Headers, a VF35 Turbo, and 3 port boost solenoid (To be fitted), and I am after a Harvey Smith Up Pipe to go with these.
What are my options with injectors - am I right in thinking 550 injectors for this model impreza are hard to get?
Silicone intake/induction pipe - do I still need to get one for a classic?
(Or do I get a Newage one because of the Newage TMIC)
Is there anything else I need to get / consider before fitting the above and getting re-mapped. As I already have the VF35 I don't want to change that at this point, however I am considering getting a Simtek ECU and going MAFless.
Any advice greatly appreciated,
Cheers all,
Paul

260bhp is very low on a 35, should be plenty of fuel at that, i ran 340 on a vf 34 with 440's and no fpr upgrade.
Injectors are easy to get, but you may find fpr upgrade is a cheaper option and does the job.
TBH first step is get the map sorted

Hi Tidgy,
Thanks - sorry if i wasnt clear - the VF35 is to be fitted.
Current spec:
I have a MY2000 classic wagon - with Panel Filter, Cobra sports downpipe with sports cat,Tornado rear de-cat with silencer,Prodrive Backbox, walbro pump, 440 injectors and ECUTEK remap running at 1.25 bar (This was how I bought it). Its putting out 260
I have the VF35, Ported OE Headers, WRX TMIC and 3 Port boost solenoid - all to be fitted.
I want to get a Harvey Smith up pipe to go with these.
I am unsure which intake/induction pipe I will need?
I will look into FPR Options - thanks for the tip
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks again Tidgy,
I meant one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-SILICON...item3aa83f6dd8
Does it make any difference that I am changing the TMIC to a Newage?
(ie do I still get one like that in the link for a classic)
Cheers,
Paul
