Default DCCD stuck in auto

Hi guys,

This is my first post here!

I just got back into another Scooby: 2004 JDM STi.

Now, the DCCD is stuck in auto, and cannot be manually adjusted. Also, apart from the auto light, no other light is lit.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Silly question, but have you actually toggled auto mode off? You can't just roll the wheel, the switch needs flicking first.

In Auto mode, that's how the lights should look... minus the CEL ofc :P

Hi Fonzey,

The manual button is unresponsive. It does not do anything when I press it.

I would say the button is either broken or not plugged in because if there was a fault in the dccd system it would be stuck in diff open mode and you would have a flashing green light.

Thanks, Gazney.

The car is going to the dealer on this coming Wednesday.

Although it is 10 years old, it only has done 50k miles. Should I also get them to replace the drive belt?

When was it last done? If you have no history of the belt getting done then for piece of mind imo its wise to have it done also

Hi guys,

A quick update: the dccd is now fully functional; it seemed somebody disconnected the manual switch.

The car is booked next week for drive belt inspection.

Also, I found this engine number on the logbook: EJ2032333.

Is it plasubile for a version 8 JDM STi to have such engine number or engine type?

Thanks

I know it has been a while, but where is this manual switch? I am having a similar issue; nothing out of the buttons and stuck in auto. I have a 2016 STI.

I see you list your location as Kingston ?
Is this UK, Jamaica, Ontario or New York??
Is it a UK car? If so for a MY16 vehicle the DCCD setting and operation information is found in section 7/page 15 onwards of the Owners Manual.

The auto/manual switch is located next to the Si-drive dial.

For a US model the info is in section7/page19 onwards

@Don Clark I know where the buttons are but when i press any of the buttons in my car nothing happens (the SI drive works though), I got a temp switch that I know works from a friend of mine STI and tried it in my car but that didnt work so I am thinking the switch is just disconnected somewhere, but where and it is connected under the centre console.

Kingston Jamaica, so car could be a LHD US model, a RHD or LHD "European and General" model or even RHD JDM ??

If its European and General Market then

If it's North American Market then

Attached, as pdf's, are (as far as I can see) the "E&G" model wiring diagrams (LHD and RHD included) for the DCCD system and relevant main harness's.
If it's a USDM or JDM unable to help.

Well hopefully the wiring diagrams will give you some idea, although wire colours may be different

You will be hard pressed to find anything specific for the JDM model although since the 2008 Hatch they have become more of a "world car".
