Oil burning off
How long does it usually take oil that's been weeping onto header from the rocker gasket to burn off? The headers are heat wrapped too, so I presume this doesn't help?
I've had the d/s rocker gasket changed (genuine Subaru gasket) and there is a strong smell of burning oil, which I presume is from where its been weeping and also oil dripping down when it was changed?
cheers

I did mine for the second time two weeks ago - damn half moon seals! It was smelling really badly of burnt oil after a warm up drive so I drove it carefully for another 10 miles or so (stopping every few miles to check it) and it stopped so must of burnt away. You need to shine a torch down the rocker cover and behind the air filter to really check it. I've got no leaks so far
