Default Twinscroll Exhaust: n00b alert

Just a couple of questions:

What is the actual difference between a jdm sti running a twinscroll and say an 04 uk spec sti?

I have a miltek system on my JDM and am after something a little less neighbour friendly if you know what I mean.

Any recommendations?

the jdm sti with the twinscroll has VF37 over the single scroll VF35 found on UK cars, other differences will include the JDM having the following over the UK version:

Revised engine
DCCD on earlier 03/04 models, UK didnt
Quick rack steering
Rear windscreen wiper
Clutch in start
5/6 gear different ratio
HIDS
auto/manual intercooler water spray
front strut brace
higher rev limit 8000rpm
Reverse Alarm
Sweeping dash on start up and red dials
Equal length manifolds

I recently upgraded the exhaust on my 03 jdm sti to a full Hayward and Scott 3" system with decat and it sounds fantastic, sounds like a superbike on full chat.

Thanks mate....

I just re-read my original post and was meant to say what's the difference between the JDM STi exhaust system compared to a UK spec STi.

I have a miltek resonated centre section and miltek back box and believe I may have a sports catted downpipe. It definitely doesn't sound like a full decat to me, it's far too quiet.

The Milteks are fairly subtle until you start getting up the revs. Have a look through the engine bay as you may be able tell what down pipe you've got.
