maf problem please help
Hi i think my maf is on its way out as it wont idle properly and somtimes cuts out. Its a uk turbo year 2000.
So i brought a non genuine of ebay part number 22794AA010 but it made the car run worse and would cut out when cold.
So i emailed him and he said that i needed part number 22680AA360 but from what i can make out thats for the complete housing aswell.
Im worrying a bit as i need the car daily for work.

However it may be something else like the idle control valve...

It might be a bit late, but have you tried cleaning your original maf, a cotton bud and some electrical contact cleaner does the trick, they are quite sensitive, and if dirty will give you rough running/idling problems.

Bought a low mileage secondhand but genuine Subaru item and all my problems instantly went away. I had changed the idle control valve during all this as I didn't believe it could be the new MAF! Lesson learnt :-(
