Dead Battery
Had not used the car for a week and the battery was flat, gave it afull slow charge and all seemed fine, checked the charge rate of the alternator 14.7v
Couple of days past and flat again, all lights on dash, headlights etc ok, just would not spin over, found that there is monitoring and if the voltage drops below cerian level this inhibits the starter.
So looked at euro car parts for bosh silver battery and with discount £70 but none near me had any in stock.
Wen to pals work shop today (in my other car) and was talking about this and he asked me reg no etc next thing past me a piece of paper and told me to go there and pick one up, so 25 min drive later ended up with Yuasa battery, gel type for £45! We'll happy.
Use the gel Yuasa cells at work on UPS systems and know these well.
Placed a maplin £20 solar trickle charger panel on the car and hopefully will keep all good.

I used to have some issues with mine if it stood for a while, particularly in winter.
Got myself one of these:

Not had any problems since

Is the original Trackstar fitted? If so, it may not be going into sleep mode and continues to draw power. This was a well known problem some years back. Had to have mine changed under warrenty as it was killing the battery on a regular basis. Before the problem was found, Subaru were replacing batteries all over the place assuming they were at fault.

Another favourite is the boot light not going off after it was shut.
Easily tested using a willing small person. Preferably without too many people seeing you do it.
