Default favour request...

For the newage lads and ladettes.

Would anyone be able to find time at some point during the week to let me borrow their MAF for a test drive?

After a VERY enthusiastic drive lastnight, the cars gone into limp mode. Had a good check today and cant see any boost leak potential or any other visual problems.

Any thanks

Dan

Would normally throw up a CEL if it decides to limp home?
Try an ECU re-set. I've got a PSI3 monitor here to show if there's a fault code available.

Well I have a feeling its failing, no light on yet, scanned the ecu and had no faults, left the battery off overnight and went back to normal until boosting hard, then it went back into limp mode.

Judging by the AFR the torque apps showing, I think its either the MAF or *brand new* fuel pump. As it leans out when coming on boost. There are DEFO no boost leaks as ive checked all pipes 10 times

Gonna try to eliminate the MAF before I jump to the fuel pump conclusion. The pump primes every time on ignition etc...

I had something very similar a few months back. Checked the boost hoses about 100 times, took everything apart and back together again just to make sure. Although I didnt have the CEL come on. Turned out to be the MAF in the end

To be fair this happened last week too. I thought it might have been a dodgy batch of momentum as its been fine since going back to vpower... until the other night.

So im thinking it is the beginning of the end of the MAF

Paul - nothin but. I'm still to discover 2nd gear

Ian - cheers bud, I've got the torque app for my galaxy, it's showing no codes at all still on the ecutek too. Wouldn't mind if it threw a code at least it makes the diagnosis easier

Have you tried cleaning it, can be done with brake cleaner, some may say not to use brake cleaner, did mine and made a difference.

Cheers for the offer Frayz - I've panic bought one now should be delivered today.

Ed - I thought about that, but like you said, people saying to brake cleaner.

Spoke to 'the Jeff' yesterday too, maf is 1st port of call, if not she needs looking at beyond my capabilities.

I'll report back after fitment tonight.
