Question help

has anyone had a problem with there classic were you get a grinding metal noise from which sounds like the front brakes but when you turn the steering wheel it goes it comes and goes but carnt see anything were it could be grinding ,bit of a weird one cheers

Sounds like a wheel bearing problem. Don`t always have play in them only get noisey.

thing is its not doing it all the time i think the last time it done it was about a year ago and aint herd nothing since and it has been through an mot since then,when it does happens to get rid of it i turn the steering full lock when moving both ways and it goes its a mad one

Strange one that Also strange nobody else has come up with any ideas. You could always give Mr clutch @ chelmsford a ring I`m sure they would check it out for you. 01245 357711

They are strange for wheel bearings, Normally only notice them with the brake pedal dropping off, was rather scary on lin's, Slow moving around a car park etc the pedal would pretty much hit the deck. during normal road use was fine.

It's gona go in for some new rear tyres at week end so gona try and see if they will me have a quick look under the front to see if I can see anything just hope I can see somthing cause I don't want it turning into something worse will see anyway , thought atleast someone might have had the same problem guess it's just me . Cheers guys

i found out what it was it was the heat shield on the back of the disk getting cought on the disk ,so was rubbing the making that noise cheers for any help
