Little Photo Shoot...
Nice weather today and I finally got round to doing another little photo shoot of my car. The last time I did one was with Dave_68 in October last year, so as I have a few changes on my car since then and as the light was quite good today as well, I thought – well why not………
Just drove around some local places trying to find suitable backdrops, and finally found three that worked, although the ones with the big gates made me skip a beat as they opened two minutes after I stopped and had to explain what I was doing! Fortunately, they were OK with it, but made me panic for a second…! Lol …
I guess the car could have been a “little” cleaner, but I really couldn’t be bothered, so took it as it was…….. It isn’t filthy, but not as good as a 2CB detail….
The graphics by the way are new, just enough to make it look different from any other blue blob STI’s, but not too much that if I get fed up with them, it’s not going to be much of a job to remove them – not going to be every ones cup of tea I know, but the blue colour of the graphics suits the WR Blue colour well (IMHO of course)….
Found this driveway with a very nice gravel entrance, massive house at the end of a tree-lined avenue behind it, so obviously looked good enough to use for a backdrop!
Then moved onto a little village called Matching Tye which has a nice little church which gave me another backdrop, and then without moving the car, on the opposite side to where I had parked was a freshly cut cornfield and I realised that the yellow of the corn sets off the WR Blue nicely, so a quick rear quarter shot was taken…
Finally, I moved on to another little village called Sheering and the church there has a nice little drive, which enabled me to take a few more pictures before the light started to go, and then I packed up and went home!

Looking good Looie.
A small tip if I may be so bold.
I'm no David Bailey myself but something I noticed from all the car mags I've read over the years, something that can add to the look of the car, is turn the front wheels so the wheel is facing the camera rather than the tyre. Don't know why, but it just tends to look better (in my opinion) you may of course disagree.
e.g. (I took none of these photo's by the way, although my car stars in two )
Loads more example here
...and what happened to the white wheels?

Had them refurbed due to too much kerbing! - now are the black ones you see on the car.
If I really start to miss the white ones, I still have my original gold wheels that also need refurbing (was like that from the dealer) and I could do them white if I really want to....
As to the wheel position - I thought about that, but as each stop was only for a very brief period, I thought I would see how they came out first, then re-do stuff at a later date with any "changes" I wanted to do....
Seems that a few want to join up on the next one though!
