Default 2 weeks in france with scooby

Hello all, been away on hols for 2 weeks with the scooby. Car was great, 400 miles each way and about 500 miles driving about for days out, went well and didnt even need to top anything up.
It seems they dont do subaru in france, only saw one and that was a gendarmes car waiting to pounce on people on the motorway, bit like the interceptors.
Didnt get caught for speeding either which was a bonus as loads got pulled at the last tolls before the eurotunnel on way home, think they missed me cos i went through the pay by card lane .
Have been playing with a graphics set whilst away so will post some pics up soon when it is all finished.

My brother lives in France & he says even the French drivers get caught out by the tolls. It works a bit like our average speed cameras do here. You go through the first toll & it clocks the time you enter that stretch then when you leave the toll road your time is clocked again. They know the distance between the tolls so they have your average speed. Simples.

We stayed in melle which is near Fougere. Fuel is not a problem but is very expensive on the motorways, around 1.45 euro/litre but around same price as at home in supermarket petrol stations. 98 Octane is available at most petrol stations so no problems there.
You just need to get a european travel kit from halfords (spare bulbs, hi-vis vest, warning triangle etc and remember to drive on the wrong side of the road. simples

Do you need a hi-vis for all occupants or just the driver? I have heard that you must keep it in the car & put it on before exiting or they will fine you if caught putting it on outside by the side of the road.

I was told that only the driver needs one, we got two just in case but didnt have any for the kids. Apparently if you break down/stop on a major road you must put it on straight away and it should therefore be accessible inside the car ie not in the boot. We didnt get stopped at all so couldnt tell you if we were doing anything wrong but Halfords do a european travel kit with everything in it including a guide to rules in different countries.
WRX Dazza, what pictures are you wanting????

Decided to have a crack at it myself so its not perfect, have a few bubbles to remove and a couple of bits just plain refused to stick so still pondering what to do with those.
