would anyone...
recomed a cold air induction kit for my scooby? its got a pannel filter in at the moment but i didnt know if it would be a waste of money?

Woz advised by most people on here to upgrade the panel filter unless ur going for major engine mods,i got myself a green group N cotton panel filter from TSL motorsport,its a good bit of kit

I do beleive if you fit a cold air induction kit its best to get the car re mapped

Yep probably best to have a remap as fueling will be all over the place.

Get a Green Cotton Panel or similar and a smoother flowing air intake pipe. Best you can do for the moment I would say.
Be careful around the MAF when you are changing any of these parts as they can be fragile and they are expensive to replace.

stick with pannel unless you're going to go for a front mount and over about 400bhp. If you really want to go for one then as above get it mapped.

i have got cold air on my 03 wrx and it hasnt been mapped !!! it runs fine wiv full de-cat and headers !!

What level of "fine" does it run? I assume you have had a set of det cans on it and a wideband lamda to check the fueling?
I guessing from your post this is not the case, if so i suggest you either get it checked and then mapped or you start saving for a rebuild.
And no im not trying to scare you before you ask.
