Paul,
Had many Mk II, including a mint Mexico that I should never have sold a few years ago. This time it's for my Westy. Has a 4 speed box with a 1,7 X-flow, but can't get the power down on the hair pin at KH. Also have a 2 ltr 16v VX engine to drop in over the winter....and it won't take that without an LSD fitted

Would the capri axle be too wide then? They are a simple swap if the width is ok and can be bought from several specialists for about £250. If you want to go down the capri route I can probably find a few ads in mags for you. I think there is a company called retrosport or something up your way that may have one
