Sponsored 10km for the British Heart Foundation
I thought I'd start a new thread to make what I am doing more evident.
On the 6th July myself and 22,999 other people will be running 10km for fun and various charities at the www.thebritish10klondon.co.uk in London. It's not going to be fun for me.... as I don't think running 6.25miles can ever be described as fun.
I've decided to support The British Heart Foundation www.bhf.org.uk as my mum had a heart attack recently – thankfully she has made a full recovery, in part, due to the knowledge of her condition and the expertise of hospital staff. I hope more people will be able to benefit in the future.
Weighing 14.5 stone I am not a natural runner, it's a fair old mass to propel for that distance. I have only ever managed 10km once in my life and that was the other day taking me 58mins 08secs. I found at the 5km mark my legs got over the extreme burning sensation into what can only be described as a sort of numb automatic rhythmic movement.......
Over the past 2 months training, I've covered approximately 50 miles, compared to the past 12 years of approximately 0 miles I think that is an achievement in itself. It's been pretty tough to be honest, lots of aches and pains, torn muscles etc
Anything you are happy to give will be appreciated and will help me stay motivated to cross the finish line on the day.

Please pass this message on as I'd love to be able to hit my target of £625 before the big day.
Thanks for reading this and for your support.

A special heart felt thanks to Kin Quick
I'm really grateful for any and all the sponsorship I have received to date but your donation has stunned me mate, thank you sooooo much.
I'm really looking forward to Sunday, training has been going really well over the last 3+ months, I've lost approx. a stone and am looking more toned than I have done in more years than I care to remember.
If I was lacking motivation before I'm certainly not any longer.
I am gob smacked mate!
