Just an idea......
I posted this up a few days ago, but was part of a totally different thread and might not of been seen by many of you, just wondered if you think it will take off or even if it is worth doing at all?

I think you'll find that John1uk initially suggested anyone wanting to make a donation could do so through him. He seem's to know the guy quite well so perhap's speak to John on any idea's you may have

children's charities and old folk causes always get my money...
unfortunately, walking round with buckets in southend is probably a waste of time on the public as we are always in our cars up until the doughnut van, where there are mostly chavs without 2 pennies to rub together.
so, that leaves mainly ESC members coughing up (which we always do)
i personally think things like £10.00 subs to attend the tunnel run (and get a sticker) will work best or the £5.00 per car we do for Children in Need...
i might be wrong and would welcome any other ideas, but thats just my take on it.
Not forgetting the Big Man's Mobile phone appeal (which is ongoing)
For me, some old lizard being dumped at Pitsea tip falls way beyond a little kid waiting for an operation.
but each to their own.

Not to be a party pooper but collecting in a bucket around just the club members is fine, but if you're going round other people on the seafront i think you need a licence.....
